Kettlebell Exercises

I must admit that I have become a big kettlebell fan! Although I have tried many different types of exercise and exercise equipment I have never experienced such fast and effective results as those from kettlebell workouts.

There are numerous reasons for this but some of them include:

1. Most Kettlebell exercises involve the whole body (most of the major muscle groups).

2. Kettlebell exercises involve dynamic and in some cases complex movements that are highly functional (i.e. closer to the types of actions that you might make in daily activities).

3. It is easier to handle and control heavy kettlebells than heavy dumbells. This means that most people will tend to exercise with more weight than with other types of exercise.

These factors alone mean that a kettlebell workout can provide a better whole body workout, be more functional, will burn more calories and can make you stronger than other type of common workouts. One word of warning though. If you are a beginner or have back problems you must seek some guidance or coaching on how to use them when you start out. The exercises need to be intense to get all the benefits BUT the inexperienced can easily injure themselves.
